The Other Game Shows
As I described on the Home page, I was on Jeopardy! in 1985. It was the first of 4 game shows I've appeared on. Here are the rest:
Sale of the Century, 1987 - I came in second on this show. I won a three piece luggage set, vacuum cleaners and $700 cash.
Win Ben Stein's Money, 1998 - I came in second on this show, too! At this time, Jimmy Kimmel was still the co-host. Fortunately, Aaron was a much better target than me, so Jimmy didn't pick on me very much. Aaron went to the final round against Ben Stein, but didn't win his money. My prize on this show was a Mickey Mouse phone.
The Weakest Link, 2002 - This was the daytime version (hosted by George Gray) and not the primetime version (hosted by Anne Robinson). I almost made it to the end on this show. A last second switch on the final vote kept me from the ending round. I think I'm done with game shows. I can take a hint! The Weakest Link says that only the winner gets the cash and the remaining contestants go home with nothing. I can attest that this is the absolute truth - I got nothing, not even lovely parting gifts like Rice-A-Roni or Lee Press-On Nails!
