He married twice. He married Luevinea Prothro Bowie. (Luevinea Prothro Bowie is #249.) He married Maude Samples Bowie. (Maude Samples Bowie is #255.) Maude was born July 19, 1894. Maude died September 1983 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, at 89 years of age.

Robert Bowie and Luevinea Prothro Bowie had the following child:

350 i. Charline⁵ Bowie (#250) was born in Longview, Gregg County, Texas March 20, 1912. Charline died August 17, 1935 in Longview, Gregg County, Texas, at 23 years of age. Her body was interred August 19, 1935 in Pasla Oak Cem., Longview, Texas.

Robert Bowie and Maude Samples Bowie had the following children:

352 iii. Lewis Theodore 'L. T.' Bowie (#257) was born in Longview, Gregg County, Texas June 4, 1918. Lewis died November 10, 1988 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, at 70 years of age.

353 iv. Robert Edward Bowie (#258) was born in Sherman, Grayson County, Texas May 18, 1928. Robert died July 10, 2001 in Riverside, Riverside County, California, at 73 years of age.
