Robert died December 3, 1995 in Lancaster, Los Angeles Co., California, at 80 years of age. His body was interred December 8, 1995 in Joshua Cemetery, Lancaster, California.

He married twice. He married Lillie Mae Jackson Bowie about 1935. (Lillie Mae Jackson Bowie is #3581.) Lillie was born in Texas February 5, 1919. Lillie was the daughter of Oscar Jackson and Atha Mae Unknown Jackson. Lillie died July 27, 1936 in Longview, Gregg County, Texas, at 17 years of age. Her body was interred July 29, 1936 in Kilgore, Gregg County, Texas. He married Zelma Juanita Madden Bowie in Longview, Gregg County, Texas, May 27, 1937. (Zelma Juanita Madden Bowie is #14.) Zelma was born in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas December 3, 1920. Zelma was the daughter of Augustus 'Guss' Madden and Lillie Ann Jones Madden. Zelma died January 24, 2001 in Lancaster, Los Angeles Co., California, at 80 years of age. Her body was interred January 29, 2001 in Joshua Cemetery, Lancaster, California.

Robert Jolly Bowie and Zelma Juanita Madden Bowie had the following children:
